WHEN WILL MY ITEM BE SHIPPED?
All pieces are made to order and shipped from the UK, usually within 3-5 working days from placing your order unless otherwise stated. All items are sent either via Royal Mail or via courier. You will be notified when the item has been shipped along with the relevant tracking number.
Any customs duties, taxes, etc that are charged upon delivery are your responsibility and are not reflected in my shipping charges. Click here for more details on shipping & returns

CARING FOR YOUR JEWELLERY
To preserve the life of your jewellery it is recommended to allow perfume/lotions to dry before wearing and to avoid getting the items wet. Therefore it is preferable to avoid wearing jewellery while showering, sleeping or doing physical exercise.
It is also advisable to avoid wearing jewellery in swimming pools and spas as the chlorine can cause colour changes and even structural damage.
Store silver in air tight bags or in boxes with anti tarnish strips to prevent scratching and tarnishing
MY SILVER JEWELLERY HAS TARNISHED - WHAT CAN I DO?
Sterling silver is comprised of 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper. As a result of the copper mixed in, tarnishing will occur. Salt and sulphur in the air, contact with detergent, cosmetics and even the chemicals in our sweat can cause tarnishing.
To help prevent, or slow down, tarnishing it is best to not get your jewellery wet or let it come into contact with chemicals.
If your jewellery does start to tarnish, rub gently with a soft cloth (ideally a silver cleaning cloth) to bring it back to it’s previous shine. Findings and charms should be wiped with a back and forth motion in a singular direction. When polishing sterling silver necklace chain, remember to rub gently or you may break it.
It is recommended to give your jewellery a gentle polish after wearing. It is also recommended to store either in airtight bags and/or with anti tarnish strips.
WHAT IS ‘GOLD FILLED’ JEWELLERY?
‘Gold filled’, also known as ‘rolled gold’, comprises a solid layer of 14k gold permanently bonded to a base metal. The minimum layer of gold must equal at least 1/20th the weight of the total item. It is very hard wearing and under normal wear the gold will not peel or flake.
Should your jewellery become dirty a gentle wipe with a soft cloth will restore the shine.
ARE MY ORIGAMI EARRINGS WATERPROOF?
No, whilst your earrings have been coated with multiple layers of a non-toxic sealant this makes them water resistant not waterproof. It is therefore recommended to avoid getting the earrings wet. To further protect your earrings it is advised to avoid lotions, perfumes and other chemicals from coming into contact with them.
CAN I CUSTOMISE A PRODUCT?
Yes! Many of the products offered allow for customisation already however if you see a product that you like but would like it in another colour scheme for example, please do contact me via the contact form or email anna@craftedbya.com and I will do my best to accommodate your request.
